Meet Dr. Burns

Dr. Justin Burns is a native of the Scranton area, having graduated from Valley View High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. While at Temple, he received the Harold Carson Award for Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and participated in mission trips to Venezuela and Haiti. He completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where is served as Chief resident from 2009 to 2010.

Dr. Burns is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Associaton , Pennsylvanina Dental Association and Scranton Dental Society. Dr. Burns performs all aspects of Oral Surgery including all dentoalveolar procedures, dental implant placement, orthognathic and facial trauma procedures.

Dr. Burns holds staff appointments at Regional Hospital of Scranton, Moses Taylor Hospital, and the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre where he also serves as an instructor for the General Dental Residency program.

Dr. Burns resides in Gouldsboro with his wife and their three children, Emma, Noah and Madeline.
