Christopher Kotchick, DMD

Meet Dr. Kotchick

Dr. Christopher Kotchick is an experienced board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has been in practice in Northeast Pennsylvania since 2001. A native of the Scranton area, he graduated from Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton. He attended Temple University School of Dentistry and went on to do a residency in general dentistry at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he was awarded the Dr. Benjamin Lebby Award for outstanding performance. Dr. Kotchick completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training as chief resident at The Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Upon completing his residency training, he received the Chairman’s Award in recognition for outstanding contribution and exceptional leadership.

Dr. Kotchick is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Pierre Fouchard Academy, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Scranton District Dental Society. Dr. Kotchick is committed to organized dentistry both locally and at the state level. He has been an active member of the Scranton District Dental Society since 2001, serving as its president in 2008. He continues as a member of its executive board and as an alternate Delegate for the Pennsylvania Dental Society.

Dr. Kotchick holds staff appointments at Mercy Hospital, Moses Taylor Hospital, and the VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre where he also serves as an instructor for the General Dental Residency program.

Dr. Kotchick resides in North Abington Township with his wife and two children.
